What is your return policy?

At Vee's Freeze-Dried Treats, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns unless there is a problem with shipping, or the product arrives damaged.

If your order arrives damaged or if there is an issue with shipping, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order at our Contact Us page. We will gladly assist you in resolving the issue and arranging for a replacement or refund.

Please note that dislike of the candy is not a valid reason for return. We take great care to describe our products accurately, but taste preferences may vary.

How do I place a custom order for my event?

We LOVE being able to make your event extra special by creating customized favors that will leave your guests talking for weeks about it.

If you are needing more information for a custom order for your baby shower, wedding, bachelorette party, work event, charity event, and more - please reach out to us via our Contact Us page and include the line: CUSTOM ORDER INQUIRY.

Please provide the type of event, the number of guests, and the color scheme you are looking for and we'll get back to you within 48 hours with further information, samples of your favor to choose from, and a quote for your order.

Why choose freeze-dried candy over regular candy?

There are many reasons to choose freeze-dried candy over regular candy!

1. Nutritional value: Candy is candy, but people do tend to eat a lower amount of freeze-dried candy to get the same level of satisfaction of regular candy, meaning a lower caloric intake.

2. Dentists prefer it: Dentists tend to prefer freeze-dried candy over regular candy. Since all the water, stickiness, and chewiness has been removed, they are less damaging to your teeth, fillings, and braces.

3. Easier to transport: Less mess = less stress. Freeze-dried candy is the perfect grab-and-go snack for busy moms, students, your desk, hiking, and more. No mess, light and airy, and delicious crunchy treats that don't leave you feeling disgusting afterwards.

Can't I make this at home with a dehydrator?

While you can technically dehydrate candy in a dehydrator, it won't result in the same texture and taste as freeze-dried candy. Here's why:

  1. Texture: Freeze-drying involves freezing the candy and then removing moisture in a vacuum chamber. This process creates a crunchy, airy texture while preserving the candy's original shape and flavor. Dehydrating in a dehydrator, on the other hand, often results in a chewier texture, as the candy's sugars and other ingredients re-crystallize during the drying process.
  2. Time: Freeze-drying is a longer process compared to dehydrating. It can take several hours to freeze-dry candy properly, as it requires freezing the candy at low temperatures and then slowly removing moisture. Dehydrating in a dehydrator may also take a significant amount of time, but it won't achieve the same results as freeze-drying.
  3. Equipment: Freeze-drying typically requires specialized equipment, such as a freeze dryer, which creates a vacuum environment to remove moisture from the candy. Dehydrators, while effective for removing moisture from fruits, vegetables, and some other foods, may not have the same capability to freeze and maintain low temperatures needed for freeze-drying candy.
  4. Quality: Freeze-drying preserves the flavor, color, and nutrients of the candy better than traditional dehydration methods. Up to 97% of nutrients and flavor are kept in the food while freeze drying, when compared to 60% for dehydrating. It allows the candy to retain its original taste and appearance, whereas dehydrating may alter the flavor and color of the candy due to the higher temperatures used in the process.

When will my order be shipped?

All orders are made fresh when placed. Please allow 1-2 business days for your order to be created and shipped. If there are ever any complications or delays in your order, you will be notified immediately.

Can I change my delivery address?

Yes! We have a 24-hour window if you need to change your delivery address.
